Del Mar Pines School's health and safety response to COVID-19

I know many of you are curious about what options you have for your children this summer. As of today, the first session of our Summer Discoveries program will have online classes only.

At Del Mar Pines School our C.I.A. team focuses on how students learn and implements the best ways to educate them.

We are so fortunate to have an outstanding, dedicated, and engaged group of educators who have risen to the challenges of remote teaching with a positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond for our students.

The Foundation asked for and granted "wish list" items from all teachers to help them teach in a more efficient and effective way from home.

We have just finished Week 2 of remote learning. It seems like most of us are adjusting well to our “new normal” – social distancing, “shelter in place”, and working at home for both students and parents.

We are also pleased with the results of our first parent survey focused on our transition to online learning. The results of the survey were excellent and have already implemented to changes to make distance learning even better for our students.

Del Mar Pines has integrated a variety of research-supported, accelerated/brain-based teaching methodologies into its academics instructional strategies.

At Del Mar Pines School, I have benefited greatly from being a charter member of the San Diego Heads of Independent Schools Group that started two years ago.
