Learn new skills to become the Ultimate Minecrafter!

Crack the code and solve the case! Spies in training will learn to use different types of secret messages, build gadgets, use problem solving skills to decipher clues and logic to get an intro to code. At the end of the sessions spies in training will get to use the skills they have learned to crack the case and earn their official secret spy credentials.

This class will be both fun and informative! Each week we visit a country from one of the 7 continents, through an age appropriate book! Books can bring you to so many different places and are a good way to introduce children to new concepts, ideas and adventures. The books chosen during our travels represent a wide range of countries and cultures from around the world! In our first class, we will look at our world through maps and globes. We will then make our own passport as we prepare to travel the world! For the remaining classes, children will be given a boarding pass upon entering the classroom that will inform them of which country and continent we will be traveling to that day. They will fill in their passport with the destination they are traveling to, color in that country’s flag while learning what the flag symbols and colors mean, and then prepare to travel via Google Earth to our week’s destination. Once we reach our destination, it is time to introduce the children to that country and culture through books and videos. They will learn about some of the country’s history, customs, holidays, along with how people across the globe eat, live and spend their day. Our class will end with a craft based upon the country they just visited! These activities are a fun way to expose children to cultures and traditions and also a great way for them to learn how to be a global citizen!

This class is more than just “sew-sew.” It’s FANTASTIC! Learn how to sew and unleash your imagination to create projects as unique as you. A seasoned instructor will teach basic stitches and all the skills students need to create their projects. Picking fabric and colors that reflect each student’s personal flair is just one way to express creativity in a class that will keep everyone in stitches!
