Summer Discovery Day Camp was a Huge Success at Del Mar Pines School!
The 2024 Summer Discoveries Day Camp at Del Mar Pines School was a fantastic experience for students, offering a perfect mix of learning and fun. Our summer camp program is always open to children from all elementary grades, including those not enrolled at Del Mar Pines School. Each year we survey our students' parents at the end of their session to identify concerns and help us create an excellent program for the following year. For the summer of 2024, we were happy to learn that 100% of our 37 survey respondents, either strongly agreed or agreed, that their children enjoyed their experience at our Summer Discoveries day camp.
Our summer day campers participated in engaging academic and enrichment activities, which included classes in science, drama, art, technology, and creative writing. One of the highlights were the hands-on science classes, where students explored topics through experiments and fun projects. The small group format allowed each child to receive personalized attention from the experienced instructors, ensuring that our campers could dive deep into subjects they were passionate about.
Additionally, the theater and art sessions gave students the chance to express their creativity, while math and writing classes kept their academic skills sharp during the summer.We were so happy to have 100% of our survey responses either strongly agreed or agreed that our teachers were effective at inspiring their children to do their best in their classes.
Beyond the enriching curriculum, students had plenty of time to build friendships and enjoy the camp atmosphere. Del Mar Pines prides itself on creating a supportive and nurturing environment, and this year's Summer Discoveries day camp was no exception. It was a summer filled with laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories. Summer Discoveries Day Camp registration typically opens in mid March.
