Four Hearts, 1969
Known as the "King of Hearts" for his many depictions of ordinary hearts, February's mystery artist is an American painter, printmaker, sculptor, photographer, and poet.
Although much of his art is seemingly random everyday objects, his art is, in fact, personal and autobiographical, allowing him to express his emotions and feelings. The artist incorporated images of everyday objects in his art.
Still, he diverged from pop art's coldness and impersonal nature by doing works that fused personal passions and everyday experiences. His repeated use of familiar and personally significant objects, such as a robe, hands, tools, and hearts, is a signature of his art. Who is he?
Complete the Mystery Artist Form and return it to the art room by the last week in February.
