New School Routine

Sep 18, 2020 |  | Marci McCord

We have had a great first two weeks back at school! The students are excited to see their teachers and friends, and the teachers are happy to be with their students.  Most importantly, we are all quickly learning the new routines and procedures to keep us all healthy and safe. We hope you enjoyed the Parent Open House last night and learned about your children’s daily experiences. Thank you for entrusting your children to Del Mar Pines, and we look forward to providing them with a stimulating learning environment throughout the year.

Covid-19 Testing & Update

All on-campus teachers and staff had a second PCR test for COVID-19 yesterday. We are going to continue testing approximately every two weeks to ensure our teachers’ and students’ health and safety. We continue to encourage our families to get tested on a regular basis as well.

San Diego County started publishing a 7-day average COVID case rate per 100,000 residents by zip codes last week. The rate for 92130 was 3.13 while the rate for all of San Diego County was 9.31. All of the case rates in our area were significantly lower than the county number.

Thank you for your support of our teachers and our school as we continue to work together for the benefit of our students’ and community’s health and well-being.
